Ghent, Belgium, 17th September 2024 – We’re excited to announce that today we deployed the sixth of eight planned releases in an ongoing journey to improve your Media Asset Management experience. This update brings a range of powerful new features to elevate your production workflow. From configurable status fields that allow you to tailor workflow tracking according to your specific requirements, to an improved 3D player offering superior viewing experiences, this release is packed with tools to boost collaboration. As a plus, you can now securely share subtitles, thereby avoiding the need to create screener files. Here is the gist.

Introducing Custom Status Fields

As of release 24.6 we have added a new important feature to improves the way you can better control large collections of media. Custom status fields are user-defined status labels, dynamically updated based on process or metadata state changes, which allow you to create your own stages or conditions to categorise and track the lifecycle of a media item. Unlike predefined statuses, which are often rigid and may not suit specific business workflow, custom statuses give you the freedom to align the system with your specific organisational needs.

Displaying Subtitles in the Player

As part of this release, end users can now easily enable and disable a specific version of the subtitles via the spinning wheel (🛞) control under the player. Doing so, in case you want to share subtitles for review and approval, you don’t need to burn-in subtitles and make specific files for screening purposes.
